Microsoft Teams · Custom app installation

Bring SecretBridge to Teams.

Download the app package and install it with your organisation's approval. SecretBridge stays hosted by us; there is no server for you to deploy.

Available as a custom app. This is not a Microsoft-approved Teams Store listing. Publisher registration is in progress. Your administrator controls whether custom apps can be installed and used.
Download for Teams

ZIP package · Version 1.0.0 · Manifest and icons only. No passwords, API keys or server code.

Verify the download

Compare the SHA-256 checksum of the downloaded file with this value. The checksum detects a changed or damaged file; it is not a Microsoft signature or certification.

Install with your administrator

  1. Download the ZIP

Keep the package zipped. Start in Teams on the web or desktop, or use the Teams admin centre.

  2. Upload the custom app

Administrator: open Teams admin centre → Teams apps → Manage apps → Upload new app (sometimes under Actions). Select the downloaded ZIP, review it and make it available to the intended users.

  3. Add SecretBridge in Teams

Find SecretBridge under the apps built for your organisation. Your administrator can also assign or pin it. Availability can take a few hours after an organisation-wide upload.

  4. Check a harmless handoff

Open the SecretBridge personal chat and send help. Send expect to create a receive channel, then use its ID on the browser form with harmless test text. Reveal it from the Teams notification; a second reveal should be denied when the limit is one.

Installing for yourself?

If your organisation permits it, use Teams → Apps → Manage your apps → Upload an app → Upload a custom app. Select the ZIP. If upload is unavailable, use Submit an app to your org or ask your administrator; this download does not bypass their policies.

Microsoft's custom-app policies and installation guidance

Receiving is free

Each verified platform user gets one free receive-channel creation per month. Receiving does not require a paid sending seat. Platform sending requires a named seat at USD 4.49 per user per month. See pricing and billing details.

Updates and the future store listing

Service-side updates are deployed by us. If the Teams package changes, your administrator uploads the newer version to update the custom app; existing app identities are retained. We will reassess this download when an official store listing is approved and provide migration guidance before retiring it.

Policies, permissions and tenant restrictions still apply. An installation in our test organisation does not prove every customer configuration or mobile client works. Get installation help or read the security boundaries.
