Terms of Use

Effective 7 September 2026

These terms govern use of SecretBridge, provided by SecretBridge. By installing or using the app, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, your organisation.

Permitted use

You may use SecretBridge to exchange lawful business information with intended recipients. You must follow your organisation's policies and the terms of Microsoft Teams, Slack, Outlook, and any connected service.

Your responsibilities

  • Choose the correct recipient, expiry, reveal count, and security level before sending.
  • Protect devices, accounts, recovery material, links, and secondary keys.
  • Do not use the service for illegal content, malware, harassment, credential theft, bulk unsolicited messaging, or attempts to bypass security controls.
  • Do not rely on a chat username or display label alone when the consequences of misdelivery are material; verify the recipient through an appropriate channel.

Availability and changes

The service may change, suspend, or limit features to maintain security, comply with law, or prevent abuse. Preview or evaluation deployments are not covered by a service-level commitment unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

Confidentiality and security

We apply technical safeguards designed for one-time secret sharing. You remain responsible for deciding whether the service and selected security level are appropriate for the information you send. A successful reveal cannot make a recipient forget, avoid copying, or prevent capture on a compromised device.

Disclaimer and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without implied warranties. SecretBridge is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss caused by incorrect addressing, compromised accounts or devices, third-party platforms, or use contrary to these terms. Any mandatory rights under applicable law remain unaffected.

Termination

You may stop using the service and remove the app. We may suspend access for material breach, security risk, abuse, or legal obligation. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
